“We must never forget that Black History is American History. The achievements of African Americans have contributed to our nation's greatness”- Yvette Clarke

Mercy Home continues to honor & highlight the significance of Black History Month; appreciating the incredible achievements, contributions, and lives of our past, present, and future, leaders of color.

Our Respite Program Participants honored the legacy of some of the greatest black leaders of all time by creating their own packets that pay homage to the work and images of these integral historic figures. Stay tuned as we look ahead to celebrate some phenomenal black artists and horticulturists who are blossoming leaders themselves, right in Mercy Home’s programs!
