National Volunteers Week

Ridgewood Savings Bank Volunteers setting up the Creative Arts Therapy room.

As we kick off National Volunteer Week,

we are reminded of this simple, yet impactful thought: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has”, Margaret Mead. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it can be difficult to make

time for tasks pertaining to our own households and families, let alone set time aside to volunteer. When we do take time to invest in others, we not only make a difference in our communities, we too experience the joy of contributing to something beyond ourselves.

“Do small things with great love”- Mother Theresa. For information on how to volunteer with Mercy Home,
